Forced to drive a DODGE

We just bought a 2005 Freestyle for the wife to drive, took it to the Ford dealer for some after delivery work that was promised. They set us up with a Enterprise Rental, a 2007 Dodge 4x4. We both hated it! I just don't think Dodge gets it. It was equipped comparable to my 2007 F150, but we couldn't wait to return it. My wife said I was forbidden to ever buy a Chrysler product.

That's the nice thing about rentals...you can return it and walk away. I have friends who rent the car or truck they are interested in before buying so they have an idea on how they'll like it before commiting. Dodge=garbage

I HAD to drive a brand new 2007 Dakota with the 3.7L when my truck was down with a bad alternator....

It sucked, I can barely get in the thing without hitting my head on the roof and my legs on the steering wheel. It has no front ABS even! who sells a vehicle now a days with no ABS...

Of course we just got a big snow fall and the roads were really bad. I slowed down to go around a turn and the fronts locked up sending me straight ahead not turning like the wheels were and right for a minivan. I was lucky to realize quick enough and let off the brake so I could turn in time.

The engine is noisy and moans/whines when you give it gas. Fuel economy was much worst then my 03 F150 Supercrew Lariat (5.4L, 3.73). And it has no power to hold its speed. The truck squeeks and rattles despite being brand new.... You couldn't give me a Dodge product for free after this.

I'd rather have NO CAR then a MOPAR. If you have to advertise how much you have improved quality there's somethinmg wrong. It' just an admission of guilt for building NEW JUNK.

There is a reason Dodge was offering $11,000 in rebates late last year and earlier this year, along with the "Lifetime Powertrain Warranty". While Ford has offered as much as $6,500 this year on '07s, that $11,000 rebate is killing the resale value of '07 and '08 Dodge Rams. I think it's especially hard to resell, or trade, those trucks for people who bought them at retail before the BIG rebates and are enormously upside-down. At the small dealership where I work, we see three or four late model Rams per month as potential trades on a new F-150 where we can't help them get out of their Dodge and into a Ford.

I used to drive a Dodge truck. My family now drives an F-150, an F-250, and an F-350. A truck for every occaision!
