I did one, but that's the last one I'll ever do. It's not hard, and if you have access to the wire color codes it's actually pretty easy, but it's very time consuming.
Yes it is time consuming, I guess that is why the so called professionals do a half ... job. They wouldn't go to the trouble to fabricate a special mount plate and paint it would they?

I installed mine with the help of www.kcautosounds.com . I will never let anyone install a alarm for me ever. They use t-tap connectors and I other shortcuts. All my conections are soldered and heat shrinked and I also know excactly how the system went together. But if you can't use a meter or test light let a pro do it.
I had mine done professionally at audio express. I found out that with my viper alarm if they're not installed professionally it voids all warranties. I also had them do power locks too.
The best alarms are 2 stage alarms.
1st stage, someone trips your alarm and it sounds in your bedroom (house).
2nd stage, you go out to your truck with a loaded tac, and a pistol, and shoot the poopies outta the jerk stealing your stuff.
(disclaimer, this is in no way a method anyone should use but this author.)

I totally agree!!!! I keep a shotty and a baseball bat by my bedroom door (just in case) lol until a cat or something happens to set it off....then I use an airsoft gun haha.
