Using SCT X3 tuner on 5.4L

Hi,
Just signed up tonight! I have an 07 FX2 5.4L 3v flexfuel. i've added the BBK throttle body, S&B CAI, Borla cat back. I just got the SCT 3015 X3 tuner and i guess i need some reassurance from those who have used this and what they had to do to install the tune. I understand that you should pull some fuses and want to make sure i get the right ones. i want to improve the idle, the shift btwn 1-2, and get better performance all around.
thanks
don

Just make sure that your X3 is up to date as far as firmware and tune version. Both can be downloaded off of SCT's website.

In my opinion Custom calibrations are always better; I think our Drive by wire strategies and shift schedules / torque converter strategies are little better compared to preset calibrations.
