I use a 36 volt golf cart battery charger at 20-30 amps.

Yeah, I bumped it up to keep it near the top because there are lots of guys here who still have rust issues and I like how much information the thread provides.

My Sporty is a '57XL

If you have dense rust, you can lower the amperage and it will take longer, but the results will be better.

Wow, that's an oldie. I remember those days. Haven't used my bucket for years since I'm putting on the fun stuff and almost on the road.

I think my biggest issue at the time was impatience. Ya gotta just work on something else and let the process run its course.

I picked up a couple of graphite plates on eBay for my electrolysis setup. They don't erode and they don't cake up with gunk like steel does.

So where does the rust go if it isn't going to the plates? Or do you mean they collect the rust but it doesn't stick?
