He's Back....

The long awaited return of Ed Olsen with Parr Ford has finally arrived.

Finally, almost a year later, I’m back on the best forum on the net! I have been working on a setting up a new website since leaving y2kford (aka “discountfordpart” and “fordpartsguy”) last Spring. My new online catalog is up and running. I look forward to working with everyone again. If you need any help or would like to buy some parts, check out my new site atwww.ftepartsguy.com or www.fordtruckpartsguy.com

Thanks Jason and everyone else for being patience with me while I made the transfer to my new place. It took a little more work to straighten the dept out, but now that is done I can get back to the FTE forum and start helping everyone out with questions and parts purchases and (hopefully) make a buck in the process. LOL

Well I'm glad to be back, i'll try and find my groove again and post where I can be the most help.

Look foward to talking with everyone again!

Thanks Ed

Grrr

I just went to that "SHOP" drop down page and after refreshing 15 times, I still didn't see Ed's new link.

I know what the website is, but would rather link it from FTE.

I use a similar link from another sponsor at least 10 times a day here to check parts availability and prices.

I'd prefer to use Ed's FTE link.

Hea Bill,

Because I just got the account active today I might not show up in the "SHOP" link yet.

Nice to hear from you again!

Glad to see you back, Ed!

Once that link shows up, I'll be using it daily.

City Ford (on north Broadway near Chinatown) closed down over 10 years ago. They also owned Freeway Ford in East LA (near the Ford Parts warehouse on Sheila Street), and Family Ford aka Convention Center Ford in downtown LA, both of those are gone, too.

After Bill Froelich sold it, Crenshaw became a DD store and was closed by FoMoCo last year.

Board Ford in Whittier (another DD) closed (again by FoMoCo) in December. El Monte Ford closed on the last day of January.

Beverly Hills Ford closed in 2006 for the last time, it had previously closed in 1969, and later in 1975. West Covina L/M moved to Puente Hills recently.

Over the past few years, over 20 local Ford & Lincoln/Mercury dealers have closed...sad.

When I learned that Crenshaw had been closed, I was amazed and saddened.

Hey, do I get an extra-special discount for walking in? I have to admit, the only thing I have ever gotten from Parr was a few oil filters. The guys there didn't know anything beyond typing a number into a computer. Same thing with Bay, and even with Courtesy depending on who was there.

Glad to see you back on FTE Ed:

I didn't know you were in Bremerton on my last trip to Tacoma, but the next time I am up that way, I'll make sure to drop in and introduce myself...

Richard.
Yep, I am able to process orders now. can you see the big black banner in my signature? just click on that to go to my site.

But for a 65 F-100 you might want to visit one of these sponsors( Welcome to Blue Oval Truck Parts) or (Ford F100 | 53, 54, 55, 56 | 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956 | Parts - F100 Central) here on FTE as allot of older parts from Ford are obsolete. But I'll always do what I can to help or point you in right direction.
