World Class T5 in a 1955 F-100
Does anyone have any knowledge in the area of installing a T5 5-speed transmission behind a 223 six? i recently bought a World class T5 from a 1990 Mustang and now im trying to figure out the best way to go about intalling it. i know im going to have to cut the drive shaft, change the clutch disk, fab a new release bearing and redrill the bell housing. i have been doing alot of research on this but i rather know if anyone has done this swap. and if so i would like some assistance in this area. pictures are greatly welcomed if possible.

Welcome to FTE! location of the shifter may have to be changed (more towards the bellhousing), or you'll have it coming up under the bench seat. They make adapters for the T5 to flathead, though typically for the v8. I know using the WC T5 can be done with various mods. Most of us use the T5 from the early 90's late 80's S10's

Try this link: http://www.ford-y-block.com/truckt5.htm
This guy machines the stock bellhousing to accept the T5. You can use the S10 T5 tailshaft on your mustang trans to rolocate shifter closer to stock location.
