I think I have FINALLY figured out what was wrong with my truck and why it was missing so bad. I ran it almost completely out of gas today. At about an 1/8 of a tank left it started to run GREAT!!! Well, I went to my usual gas station and put 10 dollars in it(didnt even reach a 1/4 tank). As I pulled out of the gas station, it started to miss again. Seems to me its the gas that Ive been putting in it does not agree with my truck. Therefore, I think Im going to be trying some different gas stations in the near future.

 

good thinking. wouldn't hurt to get two bottles of Techron and run it through too.
while you're at it, change the fuel filter.

 

Ive been running Lucas Oil "Tuneup in a Bottle" (excellent stuff)through it every 3 or 4 fillups. Seems to do well. I added one with a fill up today (from a different gas station than the norm).

 

I use Techron at every 3000 mile oil change and have had no fuel problems.
