What's in a name?

I have a 351m on my pickup. I want a 4bbl carb. What's in a name? Is Holley better? What about Edelbrock? Is there a better carb? I will spend the extra money to get one that is easy to install and maintain.

"better" is relative. What do you want to do with the truck?
I use a Holley 4160 600cfm on a 302 in my BroncoII offroader, spent several weekends tuning when I first got it but, lots o power, revs 7000rpm without running lean, fuel consumption is only an afterthought.
My 460 powered 79 F250 4x4 has a Carter AFB 650cfm, reasonable fuel consumption, good power, low maintenance.

Both carbs are good, depends what you want them for.

If you didn't build it, its not really yours.
