ISRA URGENT ALERT – YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUIRED

Larry Suffredin and his cohorts on the Cook County Board are up to their old tricks again.

In order to justify passage of gun control ordinances designed to close all gun shops and ban and confiscate most guns owned by citizens of the county, the Cook County Board is conducting a telephone poll where callers can vote for or against the gun control ordinances.

Like everything else in Cook County, this poll is probably rigged. So, it’s very important that you do the following:

1. Call 1-312 -603-6400 (chicago, 1-2 minute phone call) and select Option #1 when prompted. At the next prompt, select Option #1 again. Then, when prompted to vote on the gun control ordinance, press #2.

2. You should also forward this alert on to all your gun owning friends and have them vote too.

3. You should also post this alert to any and all Internet bulletin boards or blogs to which you belong.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A RESIDENT OF COOK COUNTY TO VOTE!

Yawn. The only thing more extreme than the anti-gun lobby is the pro-gun lobby.

 

The real problem with not allowing citizens to own firearms is very simple. The only people that turn them in...are the law abiding citizens. The criminals keep their guns...after all...they acquired them without a background check, paperwork or any other records.

In every area where gun control is established, crime skyrockets. Again...the bad guys keep their weapons...the "good" people turn them in and are now no longer able to defend themselves.

 

C'mon...guys...COOK COUNTY govt. IS a bunch of criminals. Of COURSE that govt. dosnt want armed citizens - they might interfere with the criminal element-you seriously believe that the Chicago area, with its incredible crime rate, car thefts, etc, is that way by accident ?

 

It seems that every time there is a nut-case that shoots up a school, workplace, whatever, then more gun control laws are proposed and enacted. Seems to me, if the existing laws were enforced, and the realization that GUNS are not the problem, PEOPLE are, then maybe we can get some semblance of rationale working. How many of these idiots that are bent on taking out as many people as possible because of percieved injustices would recapitulate if there was a strong possibility that many of there "targets" were armed and would defend themselves?
3 little tidbits to ponder:
1. When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
2. With guns, we are citizens. Without them, we are subjects.
3. An armed society is a polite society.

 

The Supreme Courts ruling for Washington DC will have an affect on Cook Counties laws as well as many others. It sounds like they will support the 2nd amendment with restrictions for assault rifles...
