360 Timing Chain Removal

Im changing the timing chain on my 360. I'm not to familiar with the FE's. I got the harmonic off and got the timing cover off, but how do you get the sleeve off? The cover was a bit ch to get off with that sleeve on, but i got it without damaging it. But how is the timing chain removed? Does that sleeve just slide out or what?

And also what are the timing specs on this motor? Thanks

The sleeve was suppose to come off before the cover last I checked. I'm guessing the seal is shot now LMAO!!! My sleave was hell to get off on the 64 tbird engine. Ended up using a pry bar from underneath (no pan on) and slowly wedged it loose/off. PIA

Put a exhaust pipe clamp onto the sleeve and tighten it tight. Then use a gear/wheel puller putting the pullers jaws on the pipe clamp to remove. The pipe clamp gives the jaws something to hold as the puller does it's thing.

I have to LOL your lucky the timing cover didn't get stuck on the sleeve!! Needless to say you need a new timing cover seal like RMB said!!
