weird vaccum sound and bogging engine during acceleration?

i have another one guys!
this only happens sometimes but quite frequent.after start up and take off......when accelerating i hear what sounds to be a vaccum issue.when the hissing sound occurs the engine will bog down wich i then loose power......if i accelerate hard it will go away.if i hold acceleratoin at a steady slow speed it will continue to occur untill i throttle hard.seems like once it is up to operating temp,it will slowly go away and acceleration is normal?? this may have something to do with the shifting problem i just posted?? thanks again.you are all very intelligent people!!

that would be the exhaust backpressure valve, it is normal for 7.3's

to get rid of it all you have to do is unplug the 2 wire connector right underneath the turbo inlet tube.

literally unhook it and forget it. its only task in life it to help the engine warm up faster and I don't believe it does that one bit. Some just put it on a manual switch which is a good option if you still want to use. I think its a safety concern to have it hooked. If you ever try to get into traffic fast and that baby closes it pretty much like a stalled truck in the train tracks. Not good!

mine is on a switch for the sole purpose of annoying rice rockets at traffic lights. with straight pipe it sounds like a friggin turbine when you close the valve. pure insanity

ok well if you don't mind i might see if i can make it up so we can wire up the ebpv on a switch. i'm not sure now though because i'm supposed to go out with this girl tonight. i'll call your house if i can to see what your plans are. what do you mean by it sounds like a turbine? kinda like a jet? and i'll be off in 8 min cause thats when class ends so i'll catch up with ya later.
