I was wondering what you guys knew about, heard, or thought about Motive Gear gear sets compared to Randy's Ring and Pinion gear sets. Is one better than the other, or noisy than the other. A local shop said he can get me either one, all I have to do is choose and the prices are close. Also, any word on that Dura Grip that Randy's offers? I've heard bad things but for the price, I may be willing to give it a whirl. Thanks guys, I love this forum. Almost forgot, it's going in my 04 F150 crew cab.

 

I tried to research gears and it seems like opinions are all over the place. I believe Randy's uses a couple different brands. I think Yukon is one. I think your main concern is going to be the installation. If you stick with Ford, motive, us gear, or yukon and get them installed right you should be good.

 

US Gear or Ford OEM are your best choices.

 

Richmond Gears are good also

but, for the best product, get Ford racing. I'll be you can get them for the same price as the shop wants for inferior gears
