Tip 49 I dont know what carburetor you have or if you use a EFI set-up but all the adjustments can be done from the outside. OTC makes a tool that can be used with a psi gauge. Then with the carburetor in the wide open position, the transmission lever should be fully loaded. it's hard to explain but the length of the arm on the carburetor from the pivot point to the hole the TV cable attaches to needs work the same as the arm on the transmission. Sorry I cant explain it better.

thanks for the inout; I'm hoping to get to the kickdown adjustment this week; I will start to make sure my linkage is going to work before I adjust the linkage travel.
