without wheels

finally sold the mini van and now a step closer to being able to have a vehicle to put my new bc fte sticker onto.
Now the easy part, (spending the money) to buy a replacement vehicle.
(and before everyone jumps in and wants to sell me theirs, I'm only looking for an Excursion.)any good ideas on where to find one?

Craigslist, Kijji and the online autotrader are a good start.

An Excursion..... What ya need to do is buy my F150

Craigslist or buysell.com is your best bet. Kijiji is either too over priced, or you never get a hold of the seller. I aint yet had good results from vancouver.kijiji

Lots of people are doing it. I guess it must be well worth it. A guy from work says he saved about $8000 on the car he bought.

Had just missed one in Ontario. Seems like one has to purchase on the other side of canada if one wants to get anywhere near what the price should be. Everyone in B.C. seems to think you can charge an extra 25 to 75 % more (maybe its something in the air, or something they smoke over here) go figure.

Have thought about purchasing in the U.S., but just seems to be too much of a hassle. Just found another one in Eastern Canada, in New Brunswick, on Kijiji, so we'll have to do my homework and check it out. Emailed him last night and got an email back this morning. Let the games begin.

I would check out a dealership in Calgary maybe. I say dealership, because I assume your wanting a newer one, and the likelyhood of one being at a dealership, in good shape is pretty high.

Also in calgary you shouldnt have to worry about any rust, and right off the abt you dont have to pay both taxes!

You do have to pay PST when ya get er home though, and safety it.

thanks for all the tips, BUT the quest continues, checking out all over B.C, and Alta and everything seems to be a little over priced to what we want to spend. I'm sure something will eventually come up though.

I'm up in the north coast of b.c., in Prince Rupert.

But getting to Vancouver or over to Calgary/Edmonton are about the same distance from here. So will defenetily have to go travelling to get a vehicle.

Are you looking for a newer excursion or an "older" one?

Something in the $22k mark, obviously as new as possible, ur as few kms as possible.
Looking for 4x4 with the v-10 motor in it, not very particular about the xlt or the ltd, with the 40/20/40 bench in the front, and if not will be converting to the bench up front probably from a 250 or 350 pickup, to make a nine seater.

Might be a problem with the v10 if they are as rare as the v10 in the superduty. I wanted that engine and only had acess to one which they sold.
