anyone own these trucks.
80's rams/power rams?

if anyone knows anything about them would you recoment them mainly to be a second vehicle. i am trying to decide between a 70's ford and 80's ram.

meaning which one is bigger without a lift

and whatone has more power with the biggest stock engine?

Upto 87-88 or so, Dodge was still using the 727 Transmission, which has been known to be one of the most reliable automatics of all time.

The 360 is a dog in the bigger 350s, my grandfather has a RAM 350 dually dump bed, with a 360 and a 727, takes A LOT to get it up to speed.

I believe 88s had the Cummins and still the 727, and the cummins can be made to easily have alot of power.

The 70s Fords were pretty amazing looks-wise. Both had the np435 tranny if you go manual. The dodge 360s weren't all that great in bigger trucks, but the 440s could really get up and go. If you want diesel, the Cummins wins hands down. They are easy to work on and fairly fuel efficient.
