ya I kinda firgured it be something like that given your name and all. The 53 is in good shape. I wish my grill was as nice as yours, you cant tell in the pics but i got a bit of a dent on the passenger side grill where the previous owners mechanic drove it into a tool box. It looks like a very very nice project. I got lucky with mine, it had a partial resto like 20 years ago. Has only 56,000 original miles on it and motor has never been rebuilt

mine is pretty much allright. the wiring is shot , butchered by the p.o. the flatty has been apart before . and when i got it i had to put a new valve two new guides and some other things in it as the po bent it and got carried away when it got drug back out . it was frozen up . it aint perfect but she's mine and i love her . the name comes from the fact that my 55 was a one ton car hauler before it morphed into a 1/2 ton .

no that red one , it,s not orange , just faded out was my 55 f350 that i traded off for the 49 now sitting here . i'd had it for quite some time and really due to a lot of things , some of which should never had been , it never got finished . twises bro in law has it now and to what i understand is hopping right along on it , so it will make it to the road yet i hope !!!!!
