98 explorer 5R55E trans ?

Just spent $126 for a band adj and additive and crossed fingers on my '98. Replaced only about 12000 miles ago, it is flaring and I fear for it's future.
Go here and read all night till you find your problem. ( or 5 minutes as the case may be)

How many miles? Any service history?
Find a shop that will pull the pan, change the filter, adj. the bands, look at it close and try the flush and additive.
Start saving for the big day too.

those trans are pretty weak i helped my friend put one in his 98 about 2 years ago because he thought it would be cool to do a nuetral drop in the mcdonalds drivthru but his trans didnt think it was funny and the one we replaced it with also had the flaring issue but it lasted untill the engine went
