2009 Mirrors

Looking at the 2009 mirrors I see that there appears to be a signal on the front side of the mirrors or is it just an amber reflective piece?

Also would those mirrors when available fit the earlier 2004-2008 F-150’s?

Thanks

Yeah that would be nice if they would fit the 04 gen trucks.

Those were my guesses in that other link. They definately don't seem to be a signal.

Maybe DearbornDerek can post on here to confirm if they are parking lights or not.

maybe there's a chance they would bolt up to the older trucks since the doors are the same.

its hard to tell in the youtube video cause it such a poor quality, but it looks to me that it was just the way the light hit the signal in the headlights made it look like it was signaling. i had to watch the video onver and over to see if i could tell and its really hard. i would say on the platinum truck they should signal on the mirrors. i still can not tell in the video though.

if they don't even light up then what's the point. If I get an 09, I'm going paint those reflectors black then.

They still have the signals on inside bottom of the mirror just like the current trucks.

i can see the reflectors being a good idea if the mirrors stick out far from the truck, so at night people could see them and not hit them.

I agree 100%, if they don’t light up that is dumb….they would be more useful if they were turn signals to see from the front. I thought that it would also look good and be functional to add them to 04-08 truck but I guess not if it’s just a piece of reflective plastic…
