Talking Kansas Chapter Losers

Curtis suggested that we have a thread here for losers(dieters) and since I need to do a little work in that area, here it goes. Lets us know what kind of a loser you might be.

I went on a diet last December and I gained over 15 lbs. I think I need to stop doing something. Tried to stop eating but that don't seem to work.

I started the "Walk Across Kansas" program yesterday so in celebration I went to lunch with a friend today at a diner that features breakfasts and fried food. The special was an omlette with hashbrowns and a side of biscuts and gravy. Guess what I had? I did let him have one of the biscuts. LOL

Let me know when you walk through Salina, and I might buy you lunch...LOL. (Sorry, couldn't resist).

I did do a google search for the "Walk Across Kansas" program and it looks interesting. So did you sign up on a six man team? I might have to do a little more looking into this, it looked interesting at first glance.

I have two dogs. One weighs around 100 lbs and the other about 60 LBs. Ifin I could loose that much I would be in good shape.................or dead.

Ahem...

I don't know about y'all, but for me, the first 30 pounds was really pretty easy to lose. The last ten have taken some effort...and I've got 15 or 20 more to lose.

How many of you drink soda pop?

Want to lose weight?

PUT IT DOWN!!!

I still drink Budweiser, let's not get silly here, but JUST losing the suger, sodium, and calories of soda took 30 pounds off of me in about 3 months.

Now I'm doing the actual diet and exercise that I should have been doing a long time ago...and steadily losing a pound or two a week. It ain't that bad.

I remembered those days. When I was young and could run forever or work all day and all night or work all day and party all night.

I've pretty much given up drinking pop(soda) and according to the doc I should avoid sugar, alcohol and simple carbohydrates. That doesn't leave much of the good stuff.

Kyle, I get to Salina about every other week, so, if you want to buy lunch I'll walk from the car to the cafe just about any day that I'm there. LOL
