yet another t-98 question

any of you got any idea whether there is a block off plate available for the t-98 where the power take off is on the tranny ? obviously the one i have is from a heavier truck and has the pto and i would rather see if such a critter is available before making one , or attempting it . later !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is the PTO mounted, on the right side of the case? I see what Ford calls an "inspection cover" there.

Parts catalog doesn't show a PTO because they were an option, and were (usually) furnished by outside suppliers.

EDIT: Nevermind...found the cover...it's the one I alluded to above...see below for the part number.

Talking T98

That cover is a standard 6 bolt PTO cover . It is the same on many brands
of transmissions. This is a standard part , any truck shop or salvage yard can
get you one from a scrap tranny. If you can't find one let me know and I'll send
you one.
