First Truck Decision Help!!!
Hey guys. My uncle offered me his truck this past weekend(i would have to take over payments). It is a 2006 F-150 supercab 4.6L 4x2. I had been wanting a truck and want to mod it. I am looking to acheive an aggressive, big/lifted look, but not monster truck status, and want good performance(speed ,accel, torque, etc. I want to know what my options are with this truck, and i also want to know potential outcomes before i invest in it. All input will be greatly appreciated.

Buy the truck, pay it off, then mess around with it.
I hate voiding a warranty if possible (if it still has one) and if you plan to mod it, you should be sure that you are going to keep it for awhile. You may not get the mod dollars that you spent back if you sell the truck in the near future.
A 2wd will carry less of a resale if lifted too much (versus a 4x4), but you can make this era truck look good with bigger meats.
Exhaust
Re gear the rear end
33 to 35 inch tires
mild lift
would be starting points.
BTW, welcome to FTE!

Yeah, what khadma said.
Obviously the 4.6 won't be as powerful as the 5.4
Try a leveling kit and some 33s or 35's if you can get them on to fit. Exhaust, headers if you wanna spend that cash flow, and some low gears (how low depending on what kind of driving you do, gas mileage you want, and performance you need), anddd then probably do a debadge, if it's not a complete work truck, so nobody knows it's a 2wd.
Down here in the south, my Tundra is a rare sight to see as a 4wd. Not a lot of them are 4wd. My neighbor's Tundra is 2wd and sits about an inch or even more lower than mine since mine has tires. Last time I went to the Toyo dealership, only one of about 5-6 Tundras was a 4wd. Keep that in mind with what you want to do to your truck. Is the region a 2wd region like it is here? or is it primarily a 4wd region?
Realistically speaking, you'll most likely break even on performance doing all those mods. And I forgot you can add the Edge tuner to it.
When I put the 10 ply BFG AT KOs on my Tundra, they did slow it down a bit but it's also a LOT more rolling mass to get moving. Stock tires were about 40 lbs and the new ones are 60 lbs a piece. I gained about 120 lbs in rolling mass as well as about .5" in diameter.
