STGs Minions general purpose thread - Part 2

i was thinking something like the old A frame booms but shorter so it would lay flat in the bed. then run a pto winch or hydrolic off pto pump. that should be pretty beefy for most trucks

I've been eBaying stuff out of the storage unit for the past month (made $3400! ) so now there is space. I moved almost everything from that side of the garage into storage. I've really been wanting to do this because that side of the garage is longer and I'm going to put the Roush on that side. It has space for the truck, my rolling tool box, the air compressor and tools, engine hoist and engine stand. I plan to take out the engine and will be rebuilding it with 550-600 RWHP in mind.

Man, I go away for the weekend and you guys go and get the original thread maxed out AGAIN! It gets closed and a new thread opens with 4 more pages of reading! Don't you fellas ever take time out to go fix things or wheel?? Now that I'm done whining like a small girl, back to the point.....
Back before wrecker wheel lifts became really popular and boom lifts were the norm, they had retractable units that bolted in the bed floor of regular pick ups. They were mainly used by repo guys to be able to drive up unnoticed, flip up the boom, hook and book. The only problem was they were bulky and took up the entire bed. But if you wanted to use it only as a recovery tool, that would be the way to go!

I'll have to get some pics of it up when it goes back together in a few weeks.
id like to see some pics of it
