Want a nitrous system on my 1996 f-250 460!!!

Ok so i've had it with performance parts...I put a new one on it make my mileage crapy and the gains don't seem to improve..So now i'm leaning to a cheap nitrous system...What are the pros and cons od wet verise dry???Which ones easier to hook up???And how much of a shot can i run on mt 1996 f-250 460???Where can i buy a cheap kit???

A wet sytem will flow fuel and nitrous into the intake sytem using a common nozzle.
It is more difficult to set up, but you will see more power with this system.

A dry system only directs nitrous(no fuel) through the intake system, A dry sytem will rely on the extra fuel being supplied by having the nitrous flow past the MAF sensor sending a signal to the computer that there is colder more dense air and more fuel is needed. other methods are higher fuel pressure,or Changing the computer to hold the injectors open longer can be used.
As far as how big of a shot, I dont know if the 460 has cast pistons but if it does i would not use anything more than 50. I have heard of people using a 75 shot with cast pistons but nothing more. For buying a kit, try searching jegs and summit, they are the best places to get price ideas.

I put a Vortech supercharger on my '96 F350 SC dually. WOW!!! Now that was sweet! Didn't hurt mileage just driving around, but when you needed POWER....5 lbs of boost really woke it up! There is a pic in my gallery. I drove it daily and pulled my 40 ft race trailer on weekends. I took it to the track one Wed night....15.8's and nothing else done to it but turbo muffler(stock manifolds, injectors, etc). Back then Lightnings were only running low 15's and my big old dually was nip'n their tales.

You want nitrous on your bone stock 460, but your truck has to "get you by, and is a NECESSITY to your business"? Why is it that something like this just doesn't add up?

If this truck is for your business, why bother worrying about acceleration and being "wasted" at traffic lights. Who gives a flying you know what.

The way to reduce business costs in regards to vehicles is to aim for reliability - the less you're fixing your truck the less it costs, and the more value for dollar you are getting out of your truck.

I have almost 500K on my F350 crewcab... I've definately gotten my money's worth and I can assure you, any peckerhead who wants to "race" at traffic lights can do so by themselves. I simply wave.

If I want to "play" I use a vehicle that's built for this, not a 7000lb crewcab with a ton and half of junk in the bed.

with the headers and free flowing exhaust coupled with throttle body and k&n filter, i would think that your truck is running very lean. ive read that guys with similar setups have installed a bbk fuel pressure regulator for a 94-98 mustang, it bolts right up, and turned up the fuel pressure from 39psi to about 50 and have seen huge gains from this. it might be worth a try for bout $110.
