1972 Ford F-350 electrical problems

have a 1972 Ford F-350. I have been working on my instrument panel and finally got everything working in it. The next day i was driving it and got home and switched the truck off and looked at the instrument panel and it was still on. It will not go off unless you unplug it. What can i check.

Here is a wiring diagram. https://fordification.com/tech/wirin...m-72_quick.jpg.
What electrical work were you doing on your instrument panel prior to the problem? And, were you working on any of the switches?

I was working on getting all the gauges and lights working in the instrument panel. The only thing that worked was the speedometer. I finally got all of the gauges working and had to replace the headlight switch to get the panel lights working. That afternoon i pulled in the driveway and turned the truck off and the gauges stayed on. Had to unplug the panel to turn it off.

Please explain farther what you did and what do you mean by "it" is still on. You mean the lights? The gauges shouldn't be working with the engine off and the ignition switch of "off".
