I to would like to see pics. Seeing as I would like to do a similar swap but with a 6.0 powerstroke. I'm just having a hard time figuring out which coil overs would be good for the front

1. cost I paid $350 for the whole setup including bolts.

2. rack & pinion

3. 12" disc brakes

4. light weight heavy duty parts

5. ease of install, I only have a few hours of time in the install and now I can take the entire front suspension and crossmember out in 15 minutes. The problem was cutting the old suspension crossmember out.

6. lowers the truck about 5" ( very rough estimate)

I cant wait to post some more pics when I get back home for everyone, this things looks totally differnt now that I have everything por-15'd.

I wanted to post this for those that want the people that want the modern suspensioin and steering and brakes but cant afford the roughly $2500 or so for a mustang 2 susupension, remember I paid $350 for it all. WoW it doesnt get any cheaper than that.

oh yeah I also wanted to let everyone know I just ordered some wheels online so they should be there when I get home. I will need to go buy the rear axle but I already have the spring perches so all I will have to do is weld them on and I should have pics of the final stance of the truck. WOOO HOOOO!!!!!
Carcrafter22, I have a 2004 Lincoln Towncar front suspension already under my 1960 F100. I am a bit confused about how to hookup my power steering. My 302 has the old fan belt and the front end has the serpentine hook up. I am struggling with how to mate up my power steering. Any help or suggestions you have give me would be appreciated. Thank you for your reply. 1960skid, Jackie Davis

Are you trying to use the modern pump...
Your old pump, or one that bolts to the 302 and has v-belt, can be adapted to the new steering setup.
If you're trying to use the modern pump, the pulley does come off, and more than likely the old v-belt one will press back on.
Or switch the old vbelt to serp setup.

i am a little behind the times. I just signed up so i can be a member of this forum. was originally thinking of 3" drop i-beams for my 69 f100 but reconsidered at the urging of my brother as he heard that crown vic suspensions fit!

is it only crown vics and merauders? what about grand marqis?

i also read that the stock crown vic sus. is rated at 400# and police interceptor is rated at 700#. what is this measuring? my 69 has a 360 (390 block).. would it be better to go with police interceptor due to engine weight?

man, so many questions!

The 400/700 is spring rate. Research it a little. It's basically saying it takes 400 pounds to compress it an inch... And so on.
Grand marquis is the same chassis, it's correct as well.
Police cars are .75-1" higher than the other cars as well.
A 360/390 with aluminum intake isn't much heavier than a 4.6. Maybe 100 pounds. The 400lb spring will be fine I'm sure.

Welcome to FTE!
Interesting that you've come up with a kit. Let me make a couple suggestions.
1st. You ought to put something in this Forum's Marketplace if you haven't already.
2nd. PM Tigerdan, our moderator, and ask him to put your advertisement on our Forum as a sticky.
You're not really supposed to sell your product on threads.
Good Luck!

Yes it can, but you need to weld it in rather than bolt it in. The basic swap has been done a few times.
