What truck are you referring to 250 350 DRW. I presently own a F250 4X4 SRW with 3.73's and I get 14 in the city and 17 on the highway out of a Job 1 build with 9,000 miles. This is comparable to others with the same setup. I suspect you will get a 1 to 2 MPG better with a 2 wheel drive and Job 2 or 3 truck. DRW in my opinion would not be an option in regards to 3.55's.

DRW stands for dual rear wheels or dually. I suspect by lifting you will lose a little in MPG but not enough to matter in the cool factor of the truck. Job 2 & 3 have a larger front air dam which I have been told increases MPG by 2 to 3. I consistently get 14 in the city with the truck you are looking at in regards to 3.73's. If you do not plan on trailering much go with the 3.55's and do not look back. I might have gone with 3.55's but it was not available on my truck and I am looking at a fifth wheel trailer to pull.
