Yea i posted in both sections. This shock doesnt seem to be too popular among the superduty crowd. I want some sort of ressi shock, but 200$ a shock is just too much for me, and i thought the 5150 might be a good alternative.
i have never had them on any of my trucks but they look like a good choice. not super pricey and in between a standard mono shock and a resi. i was going to get these when i got my DR 2.5" spring level kit but got a great deal on the DR signature shocks that come with it so thats what i have (still not installed)
Any experience with these shocks? Looking to mate them with a quadlink 6" Rize Lift. Anygood?
Yes, the Bilstein 5150s are good shocks. About the only negative feedback we get on them is the finish which is not quite as flashy as the 5100 or 7100s.
i have those shocks in the rear of my truck i picked them up for 125 or 150 for TWO and i paid 175 for TWO fox resis shop around u will find a good deal
I just hope that the 5150's, or even the 5100 or 7100 series for that matter, have a much better ride than the Bilstein HD's. I just installed the Bilstein HD's a few weeks ago after all the rave reviews about them and all I have to say is that you'd think it's a Chevy now. Not because of the velvety ride, but rather that it's like a rock! These Bilstein HD's ride rougher than my completely shot fake Ranchos that came on the truck. Anybody have any idea why? I'm thinking of going to the 5100's, but I can't afford it right now.
