True Dual Exhaust Routing Under/Around Gas Tank

Question: How are you guys with true duals routing the driver side pipe? I was under there the other day and saw no place for a second straight pipe. It would have to go around the gas tank and over to the passenger side just like the stock pipe does now. Are you running two pipes side by side and then split them in an x out behind the gas tank??

as a sidenote, don't make the same mistake i did with my '01....
if you ever plan on installing a hitch, do it before you get the exhaust....i got the exhaust, then the hitch. I had to drop my spare a bit and wedge it in there...now it looks like a Cheby, you can see the spare.

my Maggie's connect at and go back about 3? ft...then the muffler splits out to 2 pipes. the drivers side pipe squeezes between the gas tank and the spare tire while going over the axle

trust me, there is room. just most all the piping runs down the passenger side. "Y" piped or true duals

I ran true duals. I cut the pipe at the Y and ran them side by side all the way to the back. 05 Fx4.
