trim moldings

I think the ol' "a picture is worth a 1000 words" applies w/ this one so here you go...

I'm looking for a replacement trim molding for the passenger door on my 1989-90 E-350 pathfinder 4x4 conversion van... I searched but found nothing but truck trim and not quite the same stuff. Is this a form of unobtainium? Maybe a junkyard is my best bet. I would ask my dealer but the prices I've seen just for reproduction stuff like this blew me away ($150-$300 for a lil' piece o' trim? ).

I'm also on the hunt for a front wheel cover like this one...

Thanks in advance for your help

Be thankful you arent looking for that little piece of trim on the door pillar!!!

I'd try a junkyard; an old one run by someone that doesnt send their cars to scrap on a weekly basis. (maybe an older body/collision shop?)

Maybe drive around some old farms/rural houses that have an old van out back?

The hub cover would be available (as a set?) from any large tire dealer that also sells custom wheels. You could also just eliminate the whole problem by painting your hubs on both sides and not use any hub covers.

Your van must be from the south or out west, huh?

Thanks kynnhoj!,
That's kinda what I figured I would hear... Just hoping there might be an aftermarket part that someone knew of. I'm in the PNW just east of the cascade's (about 2hrs from Seattle) Rust isn't too bad over here in the rain-shadow, but I do have another e350 that looks like it was parked on a beach somewhere on the pacific coast for a couple years (missing several 12"x12" sections of body near rear wheelwells)

Anyway, off to the wreaking yards I guess... (I do see alot of old vans parked behind barns etc. but not many have trim) thanks again!

Well, it was too good to be true. Kenny says it's pure unobtainium... Back to the wrecking yards. Thanks anyways!
