I'm looking to sell my 1986 F350 dump for a 2003 F550 V8 Diesel dump truck. Can anyone tell me anything about this truck? Would you recommend? Pros-cons? This would be my first diesel truck. Any comments pro-cons regarding buying diesel? All comments are aprreciated. Thanks!

 

7.3 or 6.0??? The 6.0s were problematic in '03 and early '04.

 

I dont if its an 6.0 or 7.3 on monday i am going to see the truck,but it only has 23000 on it and he looking for 21000 not bad but i wanted to find out as mush as i can..

 

Any chance you might have the vin???

12/18/06 Reprogrammed control module
Stud bolt recall
Smoke coming from L/side of engine...removed turbo...replaced pipe bolts...and gaskets...cleaned EGR-Coking Deposits

1/8/07 Loses power/stalling...Replaced #5 injector
3/19/07 Feels like engine locking up upon starting...towed in...Oil over filled...hydrolock...removed all glow plugs...replaced bad injector.

These engines were known to have turbo/injector problems.
The engine is still under warranty until 10/27/08.
