How about just educate yourself.

If anyone believes that taxing the oil companies extra will lower prices, they are crazy.

I agree, but American culture has long since past the point of self reliance. If the masses would educate themselves beyond what the tube presents them they likely wouldn't tolerate 113 days of slave labor to pay for all the bull**** that people push through government.

We need less *everything* when it comes to government and laws.

INCORRECT!! if you hadn't noticed people are changing thier' habits... CBOT and NYMEX are certainly part of the cause with players like CALPERS but a finger can be pointed in almost any direction (culpritts all!) Hang around you'll notice the economy and standard of living heading south.....

they already are headed south. just haven't hit rock bottom yet - several people i know seem to think that the depression is going to make the one of the 30's look like child's play, and i'm starting to agree with them.

Regular gas is $6.02 a gallon.
Diesel is $6.01 a gallon.
Canadian imperial gallons.
This weekend is the test for us. Fuel generally rises about 45 cents a gallon.

I agree 100% . Living in vegas where we were booming on the housing industry untill they jacked up intrest rate so every one that was on an adjustable morgage had to sell there house flooding the allready flooded market.

Now we don't get as many trucks at work as a result of construction companies going under so no overtime no raises while the cost of not only diesel but literaly every thing els, except housing, gose up. Now the bills I could easily aford and have money left to play I can bearly aford befor I figure eating in.

george - yup, i have nothing to left to play with. it'd probably a good thing that i got some stuff to play with last year while i still HAD money, except if i hadn't then i wouldn't be so darn broke now. catch 22 on me.

dang bigred, that sucks. i saw the highest price yet last weekend when i actually took a trip out of town *gasp*. 3.75 with a high of 4.49 diesel. get back to town and it's gone up to 4.49 here, too, and dang gas bumped to 3.69 pretty much all over town.

i guess i don't so much care that my explorer took a dump, couldn't afford to drive it any more than the pickup and it's that many less repairs. now just to find an idiot to buy an exploder with 195K and no brakes...
