One of these might also "mask" worn front end parts a bit, by keeping the front wheels from "shimmying" if there is some play in the steering mechanism, but the play will still be there when you turn the wheel. If you have worn front end parts, they should be replaced in any case and with power steering on the van, that should be preventing most kickback anyway unless you're off-roading. And because it will make the front wheels resist turning, may wear out front end parts faster.
I put a stabilizer on an old 1980 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser which had no power steering. My upper body was in GREAT shape while I had that thing, and I'd dread parallel parking with it....
