Would this 4spd fit?

local seller has :
65 FORD SMALL TEN SPLINE COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL SHIFTER AND LINKAGE INTACT LONG TAIL TAG NO. HEH-J 012246 Out of a Galaxy. He wants $300.

Would this fit behind my FE? Not sure yet if block is 352 or 390. I'm still in parts gathering mode, block will be yanked in the spring. Based on the only casting number Bill identified the block as a passenger big block.

Thanks

A 352 in a car or truck is the exact same engine, ditto for a 390.

The exhaust manifolds, oil pan and pickup tube and the motor mounts are different, but those are bolt on items...the block/heads/intake manifold/waterpump/starter/carb/dizzy, etc = identical.

HEH-J / Ford 4 Speed Top Loader / 1965 Galaxie 390.

Will it bolt up to a 352?

Yes, but you're going to have to change the shift linkage, or change to bucket seats.

Otherwise, the shift lever will be under your present bench seat...kinda difficult to shift it that-away.

THE PRICE IS A STEAL!!

If you snooze, you lose! Buy that puppy!!

Thanks Bill - I just got it. Picking it up tomorrow night. He said the shifter is on the side and should come up in the correct location. If not I'll modify, I really want to keep the bench seat.
