Tire size for doing what? Are we talking low rider 1980 vintage, biggest tires you can fit so you look like a 4X4, the stock size tire?? Details on what you plan on doing with the truck...

I've just put some 255/70R15s (changed from a 31x10.5R15) on mine and I'm happy so far. Closest fit to stock 2WD is 235/75R15 (I believe?) but I've seen people running from 225/75R15 (looks quite nice, I can email you a pic if interested) all the way up to monster knobblies or drag tyres.

Cheers.

I've got a 76 f100 4x4 step side and you can fit 33's on it stock. It's tight and rubs a little on the radius arms at full lock, but looks and works good on and off road.

I've used P235/75R15 on my 2wd 1978 F150 for years. It looks just right with that size tire.

If your dropping it, run solid wheels or gennies, and 255/60/15 whitewalls, otherwise 54" boggers...take pictures.

The closest size to stock (225/75/15) is 255/70/15. It will decrease your speedometer reading by -0.02 mph at 5 mph actual speed. Other tire sizes have a much higher or lower ratio.

Would this tire size work on 1977 2wd F100

Would P235/70/R15 rim-tire work on a 1977 F100 2wd beater truck?

My tires are G78- or 7.00 x 15 for a stock 4wd F100... It would measure out to 29" tall and roughly 7" wide at the tread meeting the road.

I have NO idea what the stock tire size was for a 1974 F100 4x4... I am guessing the ones on there are pretty close or spot on. Would love to replace them with what is on there, but for the life of me I can't source them anywhere.
