i took a JIC hydraulic fitting cap (i dont remember what size though maybe a 10 or 12) and screwed it onto the flared fitting (the one that is threaded into the exhaust manifold) that the tube's compression fitting screws on to, and i took the egr valve off and made up a sheet metal cover for it, it throws a code but you can get an egr eliminator chip for like 25 bucks on ebay, it plugs into the harness and tells the computer the egr is working properly, this was on my explorer but it should be the same

I'll pull the box out of the recycle bin in the morning and get the stock number for you. We have people who spend the night going through the recycle bins here, so it may have "disappeared" along with the aluminum cans and other cardboard.

Rock auto (www.rockauto.com) listes the egr tube as "EGR Line" for the 5.8:
DORMAN Part # 598101 {OE Solutions #F0TZ9D477A} for 34 bucks
for the 7.5:
DORMAN Part # 598108 {OE Solutions #F7TZ9D477CA} for 23 bucks
Look up your vehicle then under emission then EGR Line.

Eliminating the EGR is not a good idea, it is asking for problems. I had my EGR tube crack about a year and a half ago, and I fixed it for about $5. Go to an auto parts store and get a tube of QuikSteel, it is a putty that mix by kneeding it in your hand and it sets up really hard. Way less messy and better than JB Weld. Use a lot of it, - used a whole 2 oz tube on my EGR pipe. It looks like hell, but you don't see it and it has not leaked for the last year and a half.
