Question Repro Door Panels from Classic Auto Parts

Has anyone used a pair of the repro door panel inserts from Classic in OKC ? Are there any better ones out there? C

Never purchase from them; I did buy a set of black panels from lmc; made in tawain; plastic; no problem with them. Their price was red & white $149 a set; and black where $49. One good reason I restored my 65 two tone black & white. You can see them in my gallery.

Like The $119 a set for red & white better than lmc price...........

I have a set of black ABS panels. I had to cut around the door and window handles to make them work. If not, you'll either strip the handles or constantly have to keep putting them back on.

Do a few searches on homemade ones. I've seen a few posts on here by folks who were able to make some very nice replacements for around $40.00. I plan on removing the store bought ones and making my own.

Consider who prolly makes the door trim panels...I doubt it's this place.

Many of the repro parts sold by suppliers are made by one company, who then sells them to others. When that happens, the price goes up.

As original, these panels only came in white.

Bill, were the originals plastic also or padded vinyl ? Mine have long since been replaced with white vinyl covering that doesnt look too bad. I just want it to look more original. I can get a pair of white ones for $99.00 from Classic off of Ebay.

No padding as original.

A thin somewhat flexible flat piece of hard plastic was used, with an embossed design.

cs65: Don, I've never seen red....but you're right...Ford did make them.

RED: C5TZ-8123942-BAC .. right side / C5TZ-8123943-BAC .. left side

WHITE: C5TZ-8123942-BAB.. right side / C5TZ-8123943-BAB .. left side

Blue instead of white? I tried to type , but it didn't appear.

My original ones were black. They had a thin molded plastic backing covered with a thin piece of vinyl. This was on a 65 f100, custom cab, springtime yellow and wimblton white.

If someone changed them, they used the original backing.
