hey mike this guy actually took the front clip the motor and the rear suspension off of a crown vic cop car and put them under this truck. He told me it fit like a glove. His words were it was the easiest thing he had ever done. Take it for what it is worth. By the way he was trying to sell it. I think he said he'd take 8500 like it sat.

Flatford, when you lowered the body, where did you make the cut to lower the firewall?

this is the stock firewall

this is after i cut the body and set it back on

then i just used sheetmetal to patch everything back together

the biggest hurdle mike was moving the brake booster
notice where it is located right above the steering column

as you can see I moved it over so it would clear the column

I also had to cut the frame at the bumper so the front core would mate to the body

I hope these pics help mike you know that extra cab would look awesome laying flat out

Heres a newer pic of my truck. This year I raised up the rear, changed the wheels, had the headers ceramic coated, and changed the hood scoop among other things.

Been a long time since I have posted on here. I have had the below 77 F-100 since high school. Currently it is getting the transmission replaced and the frame rails re-welded. It is very rusted, the floor board on the driver's side is a piece of heavy plywood. Never failed to get me where I wanted to go. Even when the trans went out it still made it home. It is a pretty bare bones pickup, three speed on the column, 300 six, no power anything.

I only like big rims on slammed trucks or SUV's. With that autozone 22" sticker on there I'm surprised he doesn't have some of the stick on "vents" or the three little what ever they are, things like are supposed to be on Buicks. I can't stand to see those things stuck on everything, some people even put like 6 on each side?

FlatFord I still like your truck. I see you're in MS, I'm actually from Brookhaven, MS. How do you think we could be related? send me a PM.

EDIT: I hope he upgraded the brakes with big rims!
