my 74 wrecker project is finally on the road, still lots to do but she's usable.

she started life as a woolard step truck.
when I bought it the steps had been removed, the cab was fairly rotten around the gutters (british weather) but I had a plan

what I bought

what I've made it into

ya can see the whole story so far on my website at www.bigyellowtruck.me.uk

I'm sorry, I thought you were trying to sell it. I just went back and reread your post.

Very nice indeed. I like the look w/o the chrome runners. Nice and clean. I have a 75, same caps. Stock, I believe.

i worked for a residential tree service and on every job i would scour the neighborhood. sometimes at lunch i would walk off the job to talk with neighbors. no shame in my game. its amazing the luck you can have if you just ask sometimes. this wasnt my best find though i purchased a 58 edsel roundup (2dr wagon) and a 66 impala wagon a couple years ago for 1400 for both!! keep your eyes peeled

whew..... finally read all 77 pages of this post

Anyway, here is my `77 F350 Camper Special that I just bout got $1200. Drove 130+ miles to get it. I'd been looking for a heavy truck that could handle a camper and drive at highway speeds. (Most of the trucks around here are farm trucks are are geared too low.) The seller was surprised I drove that far to see the truck. Going back up Friday to pick it up.
