Thanks
Yeah, I copped a lot of grief from friends about the purple.. Once I've got the lowering sorted I'll get into the panel work, paint etc..
eventual plan is either gloss black all over, or a two-tone silver/black.

Here's my 1973 F-250 Camper Special Ranger in desperate need of some different wheels and some fresh paint. I'd take stock steelies over these ugly wagon wheels, but they came on the pickup with a new set of rubber;

the paint on that camper special looks to me, and the rims kinda fit the truck to.

Heres the old girl i bought for a couple hundred a few weeks ago. Its sitting at my dads now. Straight 6 with 3 on the tree. The drivers floor is toast but the rest of the truck is solid and it runs well. I need to get it licensed. Im no mechanic so this look like a easy truck to learn with

The paint isn't in horrible shape just getting very thin. In the sun you can see through the tan to the primer in spots if you're looking. When I bought it I gave it a good buffing and that will be the last time thats possible with-out going through.

I've considered changing to a different color scheme but not much is going to go with the brown interior and I really have no interest in painting the interior. I might just redo the buckskin 2-tone but go with a darker brown like they did in later years.

For wheels, some Ultra Type 61's would look sharp on there. But, the conservativeness in me can't justify replacing something that really doesn't need replacing.

I didn't laugh too much... because I started to cringe once I saw that the entire page is transparent over your background image...

I'll let you slide with the MySpace thing if you make your page opaque

Let me know if you fix that so I can go back and take a look at your truck. I want to, but I sure as hell am not going to try and navigate that page as is!

No, really the truck had no hubcaps when I bought it, so I put the Chevy caps on since they were just laying around in my way all the time. One of my trailers has Ford 5x5 pattern wheels... and Chevy caps too lol.
c'mon

I need to take new ones anyway because what I've got in my gallery is 6 years old and I put a new motor in this winter.

I prefer the 78/79 grills over the split grills prior to it. To me it makes it look more solid and more in your face coming right atcha. I remember the feeling I got walking up to her the day I picked her up from the guys house, 100 % nerves and excitement rolled into one. I got the inspection sticker on it Saturday and watched the guy drive off in her and felt like a parent watching their kid run off w/o them... Like where's my baby going!?

Here's my ugly truck. I wrecked her 6 years ago (see the timing there?) and just got the new nose put on it last summer. The nose came off my 83 f100. I wish that one wld have been in good enough condition to restore being that was the last production year of the f100 but what can you do when there's nothing to work with?

WORNG GENERATION!!!! lol its gonna be cool though
