How big can I go?

I have a 2003 F-350 4x4 CC DRW and was wondering what is the biggest size tire I can go to on my stock rims without the rears rubbing together? Thanks!

I wouldn't go over a 255mm width.

Some run 265s without issue......but if you heavily load the truck they will rub.

I don't load the truck that often, but I do haul a 26' pintle trailer behind once in a while. If I did go to 265's, what would you get for ratio? 265/70?, or 265/75? or 265/80? Thanks!

well you arent gonna get it.
Taller tire will be heavier
wider tire will be heavier and also increase rolling resistance.
The motor will work harder to turn the tire thus ill say your MPG will decrease not increase.

Well ,I'm just talkin about mileage when not loaded. I have seen alot of people put on taller tires and increase their mpg when not towing. These diesels can push an empty truck around with ease. I'm not looking for economy when towing because you can't expect a truck to give you mpg when pulling 15,000 lbs. Does anyone know what would work best? 70, 75, or 80 series? Thanks!

Personally, I wouldn't run 265s ever.....especially towing or hauling (just my opinion).

I feel it's too much of a risk.
I've seen what happens if the tires rub (my tire dealer had some in that had exploded....I should have taken a pic).

Just my $.02
