Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my truck wont idle. i was checking my fuel pressure today after shiiming, and my pressure was going all the way up to 100#. OUCH! well, i took it apart and the spring was bowed and kinked, and stuck in there in a funny way. i couldnt get the shim out, so i ground a flat spot on the BB and tried to drill and tap it to pull 'er out. it was too hard to drill. i tried to punch it to start the bit better, and it knocked it down in it. so i drove it all the way down in there, as it was the only option. so, i then put it back in there after straightening the spring. my pressure was only 40 psi. i figured i'd drive it like that till i could get a spring. but, when i made it not far it started idling bad. well, then it started dieing. i have to bump it into nuetral to slow down and turn to keep rpms up. my spring is all messed up. so, i drove 50 miles to the place i buy all my diesel stuff cause he said he had a spring. well, we couldnt find a good one, but found a burned one from a truck that caught on fire. i put it in, all was ok for a little while. after a ways i started to get on the off ramp and it died. on the ramp. i got it started, and went to eat. i then came on home and it dided once more on the way home. if you put it in neutral and treat the throttle right it will go down and idle, but its a lil rough. i read the codes and it reads a P0340. cam sensor code. whats up here?

clear the code and drive it again, if the 340 comes back then replace the cam sensor. also go get the regulator from the burnt up truck and try that too, i have never had a bb get stuck like that.

it will start, but the thing cranks for awhile and throttle must be held to the floor. then she will fire after cranking a good while. i REALLY think its just the "sprang" lol.

very well could be, but the 340 makes me doubt the hailed 14 dollar sensors anyway.

get a new spring and see how she goes
