Where to buy good PCM online or Memphis area

After a long string of troubleshooting, including an IDM replacement....shop says the codes are still indicating IDM. I can't remember the code...1494 comes to mind but that probably isn't right. The code happens somewhere during the KOER or KOEO tests.

Somewhere on here I read theFord diag for this code and it says replace IDM and re-test. Done that. Then I believe it says replace PCM and re-test.

I don't want to pay $900 to stealership to 'try' a PCM. Have considered getting one from Jody (with or without tune) or having Jody try to flash mine.

Anyway....does anyone know of a place to get a PCM or is anyone in the Memphis area willing to do a quick PCM swap so I can verify my problem?

THANKS!!!

I'll meet you somewhere and do it. Problem is I am working weekends for the next 3 weeks. It is a vicious cycle for me. As you also know, we are not exactly close either. The only good thing is the swap takes about 10 minutes max to do.

I cannot believe there is nobody in Memphis. Let me check something out.

Surely there is but haven't run across any on FTE. I have an email in to Jody and a bid on an Ebay unit. If the bid doesn't go to high and I get lucky I'll go that route.

Hey guys...found several on the internet (one listed below). How can I verify which PCM(s) are ok with my 2001 truck? Anyone have a good site or resource?

2000 Ford F250/F350 7.3 Litre PowerStroke Diesel Truck Computer ** Automatic Transmission

NVK5
EEC-V
XC3F-12A650-BG

Computer came from a running vehicle, but there are at least a 100 different computers for the 7.3 litre Diesel Powerstroke ... please contact Ford to see if this will work with your truck.

I am pretty sure your truck will work with a NVK or PMT PCM. I know pretty sure does not cut it, but that is as far as I am willing to go on your dime.

I wonder what would happen if you put in a slightly wrong one. I've read there can be 10-12 different ones for a 2000 or 2001 model truck. The one I'm about to receive is a Part Number: F81F-12A650-NE
