Dakota, since you're getting the Dashhawk I'll refer you to the support fourm:

Dashhawk - MSD Ignition Tech Support Forums

I hope you didn't buy it on my recommendation, since it looks like future upgrade support for the Dashhawk is going away. I had mentioned this on this post

The Dashhawk does work fine, you'll probablly want to update it to firmware 2.51.

Your comment regarding trailer size is very valid. Ford does publish the "frontal area" limitations in their towing specifications, which is something most people likely don't look at. A travel trailer with a huge frontal area takes a lot more effort to tow versus a flat bed trailer or a boat of the same weight. Speed is also much more a factor too.

Thanks for the note on the Dashhawk. I had noticed that the replies to user's questions had quit and was wondering what was going on.

If it works for me out of the box (and I see no reason why it shouldn't, reading the literature and user questions asked) I won't be updating it in any case.

Thanks again.

Regarding the dashhawk, I've only updated the firmware once. Several Ford specific paramters were added over the factory program. The update only took a couple of minutes after the downloading.
