And a great big thank you to Beth and Barney for the wine even though Barney nailed me into the wall at the race track but if I remember correctly that one back fired big time. And I'm like Neal lets do it again next month. God Bless you guys.
Cecil,

Barney's nickname while he was racing was "Crash and Bernstein"

Barney either won big or DNF......

Go figure huh??

Joe, what ever happened to guiri? He was the one who first floated the idea of an Excursion get-together.

We just got home today and we're already looking forward to next year.

For all of those that didn't make it, you really have no clue what you missed. We can tell stories, but it's just not the same as being there.... WE HAD A BLAST!!

Well...we made it home a few hours ago...an uneventful trip...just the way I like it!

Had a great time in Gatlinburg...wish some more of you folks could have spent some more time...

We drove thru the park to Cherokee NC on Tuesday...a beautiful drive for sure!

We went horseback riding yesterday morning and then some shopping and finished our week off with a very good Elvis impersonator at Bennets Barbecue Pit...our youngest daughter is a HUGE Elvis fan!!!...

So the planning will begin for next year...

After I post this...I'll start on the email to all the participants...so watch for it.

Thanks again to EVERYONE for all your support...I have to say...

What started as a group of otherwise strangers forming a meet for Excursion nuts...quickly turned into a group of close nit camping FRIENDS...and that my friends is God's touch...so thanks must go to HIM for bringing us all safely together in Gatlinburg and watching over us on our journey's home!!!

Hopefully others that weren't able to attend this year will be able to next year...our goal is to decide on a date SOON so everyone can plan around the meet...with enough advance notice...

Joe.
