RV dealer won't sell

There's this RV dealer who sell me a Lance 1131 or 1191. Tells me its for an F-350 DRW or SRW. So, I have a F-250 with the air bags and extra leaf springs. The weight of the to campers, 3650lbs. and 3530lbs. dry weight. What gives?

Regardless of what you have added on, they go for the rated gvwr.

A dealer who is actually putting your safety and truck's capacity ahead of his bottom line? I'm impressed!

Me too. It's not very often you hear that. Normally it's all about the sale.

Exactly.

That is TOO MUCH trailer for a F250, no matter what you did to it.

Maybe because it is a slide in and they technically installing it there are different regulations. If that is not the case, it looks like it is just an honest dealer.

If they are saying you can put it in a SRW F350 there is no reason a F250 cant handle it!!

Tell the dealer you'll take it but you want them to deliver it!

F250 from the factory has the same tow capacity but a lower bed capacity; that's why they won't put it in. 250 and 350 are not equal in that one respect.

1000lbs? I'm sure the springs and air suspension makes up for the difference, but if that's the dealer's policy, that's their policy.

Those are dry weights also. The GVW of the 02 F250 is probably 8800#. Truck weight 7,000#??? 7,000+3,600+camper load?? Also camper weight is up high relative to a trailer.

With your Math, Ford has not rated the truck to get groceries from Costco....

Tom, I thought we already decided that the Arctic Fox was a nicer rig anyway?

Just buy some f350 emblems for your rig and velcro them on when you go in for the delivery.

you are right,

Yes I am home... I think you just want the boss to go with you instead of working.

BTW, I am nearly healthy too. I lost 7 lbs on vacation....
