clevlands never came in truck PERIOD although the 335 series was offered in trucks from 77.5 till 82 or 83 , i guess its another guy who sees the 335 series motor and thinks its a clevland, oh well

The 351 cleveland was NEVER put into a truck from the factory. They were only produced 1970 to 1974 and available in selective Ford and mercury cars for those years. They were also available in Panteras as well. I have a 1978 F-150 that has a 1970 351 cleveland in it and this is far from a stock option. Sadly the 351 Modified is what replaced the defunct Cleveland in a heavier and over smogged version. I don't know the exact year this took place but 85351ho is right with the time frame of the 351 modified and 400 being placed in trucks.

People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

 

I'll bite on the ANY part. Were Clevelands offered in Rancheros???? I will say the F-series there is no doubt that they weren't offered.

Some people like o open their mouthes before they think. LMAO. Rancheros are considered trucks and the Cleveland was offerd in them from 1971 to 74 My dad has 71 Ranchero with one and the donor for my F150 4x4 was a 74 ranchero........ I also PROUDLY OWN A 1969 RANCHERO WITHA 351W AND D00E HEADS AND THE TAG ON IT SAYS GETUSUM.......... SO IF YA WANT SUM GET SUM..........ITS GOT 285HP OUT OF A STOCK MOTOR!!!!!!

The Cleveland is a 335 series motor. The 335 series consists of the 351C, 351M and 400.

 

I think Ford Australia may have sold F-series trucks with 351C engines. I'm not ENTIRELY sure, but you see, clevelands were produced locally here from about 1972 till 1982 or so, and M-blocks were never made here. Of course, it may be that the F-series trucks sold here were imported with either windsor or M engines, but I might do some research and find out. These could be the only Cleveland powered F-series trucks!!!!

Slightly off-tangent, but we got 351C's in ford passenger cars from 1970 onwards, but all 1972+ clevelands had only 2V heads. also utes, station wagaons and panel vans were sold with cleveland engines (if you dont know what a ute is... it's kindof like a ranchero i think).

 

When someone mentions a Cleveland a Ford person automatically thinks of a 351 C and there were none in trucks.

hi the cleveland motor came in the f100 in australia I have a 351 c in a 1978 f100 fwd.the cleveland came in 302 cubic inches and 351
and the cleveland was produced here for 12 years.

The Aussie F100 did come out with either the 302 or 351 Cleveland here up until the early 80's, then swapped back to the Windsor, both 302 and 351 also. Apparently Ford Australia brought the original clevo tooling from USA around 1979 and produced the Aussie Clevo,s here which are thicker castings, an easy way to tell where the motor came from is that the aussie clevos never had the clutch bolt hole drilled and tapped at the back of the block on the fuel pump side, they are also painted black with silver rocker covers.
