firewall insulation pad...

Im in need of one still if any of you who scour the yards run across one...its a 65-6 2wd 1/2 and 3/4 ton truck piece only...Its a real PITA to pull as everything in the cab to underhood area is run through it...but getting a nice part is a joy as we all know for our trucks...

I'm not sure if any of the site sponsors have them but I got a real nice one from DC.
It's ABS plastic with insulation on the back. I'm very happy with it.

If I get a chance to go out there and look this weekend, I'll take a look and let you know. I think one of them looked pretty good. i am trying to talk myself into getting a cab and door assmebly just to have around, but it is a lot of work to pull..

Thanks very much. I totally understand as the spare I have I spent an afternoon gutting...shame too as it was a nice truck...but it was a lot of work but ever so gratifying seeing the forklift lift it off...using thick cloth straps...

Extended the carpet above the bottom half of the insulator but seem to recall there was a strip of some type sewn along the base for the carpet to set under. If decide to go this route and price supplier's are asking, suggest contact them and get specifics.

Pay the extra few bucks for the one with all the cutouts... I made the mistake of purchasing one for a 63 without holes... WHAT A PITA... never again...
