Our company has one. It's a '01. They are harder to find, but are out there. I saw one advertised for sale a while back. It was a '99 CC 4X4 for only $9500.

The reason they are so rare is that the F350's and F250's weigh a lot more than the F150's so the 5.4L's usually have a tough time movin that big of truck around. They did have them tho. The Trition is the stock option in the Superduties tho.

When I bought my 2005 5.4L F250, I remember reading the build sheets for F350 only had the V10 for a base engine in SRW and the duallies going to the diesel as the base entry engine. Do not know about other model years.

Talking

You're kidding, right? I had a 2004 F-350 XL 4x4 regular cab I bought off the lot in August of '04, and my Dad found his 2005 F-350 XLT 4x4 regular cab at the same dealership in January '05. Mine was the 2v 5.4L, and his was the 3v 5.4L. When I got my '04, they had 10(at least, maybe more...) on the lot. When we got our '05 truck, they had at least 4,or 5 F-350s with the 5.4L engine. Most dealerships in this area stock at least 1 or 2. These trucks shouldn't be that difficult to locate. I see lots of '99 through current 2008 F-350s with the 5.4L engine.

I have a 2006 F-350 with the 3V 5.4 engine. I have no complaints, engine runs strong. No comparison to my 2001 Chevy 2500HD with the 8.1 engine. That motor runs like a scalded dog.

I work at a Ford dealership and we have a few 5.4l F350's and F250's. I took home a 2004 F250 with 5.4 a few weeks ago and thought it was way under powered. Not sure what rear end it had, but I certainly can't imagine towing mush with it. Drove an 05 5.4l F350 Super cab with 3.73 the other day... and bought it. Much better power delivery, and it doesn't feel slow for the size of the truck.
