79 460 to a 89 overdrive tranny
I have an overdrive transmission from a 89 pickup with a 460 EFI. I know the trans is cumputer controlled but I am wondering if there is a kit out there to make this trans work on my 460 in my 79 F150, I don't want to put in the EFI 460 I have but want the 4 spd auto. At a $1.20/litre or $5.40 a gallon I need all the help I can get. Anyone have any Ideas for this.??

Ive been reserching this idea there is a company called Bauman Electronic Controls they have what you will need to make the E4OD work but ive been trying to hear from someone who has put this tranny in there truck if it fits or do you have to modify the body this trans is big Im wanting to put one in my 70' with a 460 there is another outfit called TCI that has a programer for the none computer controled vehicles moving the crossmember and modifying the driveshaft is not an issue just dont want to hack up the body
