need honest opinions

alright guys, i have am going to have a dilema coming up when this tax rebate comes in this spring. the obvious question is "what do i do with it?"

i have 2 choices that are burning me up right now.

choice 1, stage 1's and maybee a new chip for the truck

choice 2, rear for the charger, overhaul kit for tranny in charger, fuel system
fuel system for car, and still have money left over.

what is your opinions?

Stage 1's and a Chip...I'm betting that's the consistant opinion around here. On the "Charger Enthusiasts Forum"...might be dif. What year is your Charger? Pics in Gallery (or on the CEF)?

I spent this year's tax return on last year's E4OD.

You already know what your going to do. Face it, you are now just looking for justification.

By the way...is there a 7.3 Powerstroke in that charger??? 'nuff said.

i really am up in the air, the truck is the daily driver (until fuel hits 5 a gallon)
the car is a 69, i used to drive it all the time, but its been sitting a while and i want to start cruising when it gets warm again and hit the track some for fun. the trans is a bone stock unit i tossed in for cruising, it isnt happy in the car at all. the rear is hurt from a run-in with some punks and has needed gears since i bought the car when i was 14 (2.76's out back) other than that i do drive it at least once a month around the block to keep things lubed and moving.

i want the truck to be quicker and i really want the good chip but the core charges are turning me off to the remaned stage 1's and the 235k on the inj's are turning me off to the diy kit (cant afford downtime for ordering more parts)

the car needs some tlc to be a nasty street car again but i am stuck on the fence. i am 50/50 with either way right now.

i will try to grab a few pics for ya

see, thats the thing, to buy the remans will eat everything if not more, we are looking at 6 or 700 for injects and then 1200 core, thats more than i am getting for the credit, i would rather do the diy kit, which it looks like all you are doing is installing a shorter piston. i have an article on the needed length from a diesel mag and i have contemplated just machining them myself and reinstalling, but then i am faced with the whatif's when i open the injectors.......

How much downtime can can you afford? I think diy-injectors.com offers a service that you can send it to them, they will rebuild and replace as necessary and bench test. Check it out I don't think it's much more than doing them yourself plus you get the benefit of making sure they work and are flow tested

DO THE TRUCK man I would if I could spend my return on some mods unfortunately my tax refund usually pays my outstanding bills I accumulate over the winter like home heating and hydro
